Job Description

The Risk Management & Compliance function within Core Business Supply is tasked with leading, steering, and supporting the business to safeguard the IKEA brand. By implementing effective monitoring and follow-up practices, we aim to foster risk-aware decision-making and practical business control. Risk Management & Compliance collaborates closely with various organizational levels, providing support to:

  • Strengthen the IKEA brand and protect our assets
  • Maintain an overall security-aware culture
  • Steer and lead compliance activities

As an Ethics & Integrity Leader, your primary responsibility will be to support the development of the Ethics and Integrity capability as part of the Risk Management and Compliance strategic direction. Your key tasks will include:

  • Leading corporate global investigations concerning allegations of non-compliance with the Inter IKEA Group Code of Conduct. This involves planning, fact-finding, document analysis, conducting non-confrontational interviews, and report writing. Investigations may address issues such as corruption or harassment.
  • Acting as a proactive ambassador for Ethics & Integrity across the business, addressing ad-hoc inquiries and providing guidance on a range of ethics-related topics.
  • Supporting the broader Ethics & Integrity capability through metrics analysis, dashboarding, data analytics, trend identification, and analysis of past cases and learnings. Driving continuous improvement in ways of working and technology adoption.
  • Providing expertise and leadership in developing and refining Ethics & Integrity-related steering documents and training, which includes investigative capabilities and anti-corruption protocols.
  • Overseeing quality assurance for Ethics & Integrity cases, ensuring consistency, fairness, and compliance with internal policies, IKEA values, and applicable legal regulations.
  • Mentoring and developing local co-workers in building investigative capabilities as a center of expertise.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, the following knowledge, skills, and experience are valuable:

  • 10 or more years of relevant experience working with investigations in a global, diverse cultural environment.
  • Relevant professional qualifications in the ethics, compliance, and investigations field (e.g., Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, a relevant Bachelor or Master’s Degree, or equivalent professional experience).
  • Knowledge of relevant legal requirements and best practices (e.g., whistleblowing, anti-corruption, management of personal data, harassment, and discrimination).
  • Understanding of compliance with a Code of Conduct and related policies.
  • Strong business English language skills; knowledge of additional languages is a strong advantage.
  • Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills, including verbal, written, facilitation, coaching, active listening, and making presentations to senior management.
  • Strong analytical skills, critical thinking capabilities, interviewing skills, open-source research skills, and e-discovery skills.
