Job Description

In the Risk Management & Compliance function within Core Business Supply, we lead, steer, and support the business to safeguard the IKEA brand. Effective monitoring and follow-up drive risk-aware decision-making and practical business control. Risk Management & Compliance works closely with various organizational levels and provides support to:

  • Strengthen the IKEA brand and protect our assets
  • Maintain an overall security-aware culture
  • Steer and lead compliance activities

As the Ethics & Integrity Leader, your primary responsibility will be to support the development of the Ethics and Integrity capability as part of our Risk Management and Compliance strategic direction. You will:

  • Lead corporate global investigations related to allegations of non-compliance with the Inter IKEA Group Code of Conduct. Responsibilities will include planning, fact-finding, document analysis, non-confrontational interviews, and report writing. Investigations may involve topics such as corruption, harassment, and other alleged misconduct concerns.
  • Act as a proactive ambassador for Ethics & Integrity across the business, handling ad-hoc queries and providing guidance on a range of ethics-related topics.
  • Support the broader Ethics & Integrity capability through key metrics analysis, dashboarding, data analytics, trend identification, and the analysis of previous cases and learnings. Drive continuous improvement in working methods and technology adoption, including AI.
  • Provide expertise and leadership in developing and enhancing Ethics & Integrity-related steering documents and trainings. Facilitate training sessions as needed.
  • Oversee quality assurance for Ethics & Integrity cases, ensuring consistency, fairness, and compliance with internal policies, IKEA values, and applicable legal requirements.
  • As a center of expertise, mentor and support local co-workers in building their investigative capabilities.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the following knowledge, skills, and experiences would be valuable:

  • 10 or more years of relevant experience working with investigations in a global and diverse cultural environment.
  • Relevant professional qualifications in ethics, compliance, and investigations (e.g., Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, relevant Bachelor's or Master's Degree, or equivalent professional experience).
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legal requirements and best practices (e.g., whistleblowing, anti-corruption, handling of personal data, harassment, discrimination).
  • Understanding of compliance with a Code of Conduct and related policies.
  • Proficient business English language skills; knowledge of other languages is a strong advantage.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills in verbal, written, facilitation, coaching, active listening, and presentations to senior management.
  • Strong analytical skills, critical thinking capability, interviewing skills, open-source research skills, and e-discovery skills.
