Job Description

The Risk Management & Compliance function within Core Business Supply takes the lead in safeguarding the IKEA brand. Through effective monitoring and follow-up, we promote risk-aware decision-making and practical business control. Risk Management & Compliance works closely with various organizational levels and provides support to:

  • Strengthen the IKEA brand and protect our assets
  • Maintain a culture that is aware of overall security
  • Steer and lead compliance activities

As the Ethics & Integrity Leader, your primary role will involve driving the Ethics and Integrity capability as part of the strategic direction for Risk Management and Compliance. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading global corporate investigations related to allegations of non-compliance with the Inter IKEA Group Code of Conduct, including planning, fact-finding, document analysis, non-confrontational interviews, and report writing. Investigations may cover issues such as corruption and harassment.
  • Acting as an ambassador for Ethics & Integrity across the business, addressing ad-hoc inquiries and providing guidance on a variety of ethics-related topics.
  • Supporting the broader Ethics & Integrity capability through analysis of key metrics, dashboarding, data analytics, trend identification, and lessons learned from previous cases. Driving continuous improvement in working methods and technology adoption/AI.
  • Providing expertise on the development and enhancement of Ethics & Integrity-related steering documents and training programs (e.g., investigative capabilities, anti-corruption measures, code of conduct). Facilitating training sessions as necessary.
  • Ensuring quality assurance for Ethics & Integrity cases, maintaining consistency, fairness, and compliance with internal policies, IKEA values, and legal requirements.
  • Mentoring and developing local co-workers to enhance their investigative capabilities as a center of expertise.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, the following knowledge, skills, and experiences are essential:

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience working with investigations in a global and diverse cultural environment.
  • Relevant professional qualifications in the fields of ethics, compliance, and investigations (e.g., Certified Fraud Examiner, relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent professional experience).
  • Knowledge of applicable legal requirements and best practices (e.g., whistleblowing, anti-corruption, handling personal data, harassment, discrimination).
  • Understanding of compliance with codes of conduct and related policies.
  • Proficient in business English; additional language skills are a strong benefit.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Exceptional communication abilities, including verbal and written skills, facilitation, coaching, active listening, and presentations to senior management.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities, interviewing skills, open-source research skills, and e-discovery skills.
