Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive, hands-on, and organized Entrepreneurship & Community Coordinator to be at the forefront of our Entrepreneurship team within the ETH AI Center. This role is vital for implementing activities that support our growing community of affiliated startups, including partnerships with venture capitalists and service providers. The ideal candidate will not just oversee activities from a distance but will be deeply involved in making things happen on the ground.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of community building efforts for affiliated startups, including conceptualizing, organizing, and participating in events.
  • Foster direct and meaningful relationships with startups while maintaining strong connections with founders and partners.
  • Operate and manage ongoing programs like the AI Launchpad, ensuring tasks are completed and timelines are met.
  • Identify and reach out to new potential partners, service providers, and collaborators who can add value to our startups.
  • Scout and screen entrepreneurial talent, ensuring alignment with the community’s standards and needs.
  • Manage the operational process of onboarding new startups to the ETH AI Center from initial contact to official affiliation.
  • Develop a strong local network to enhance the affiliated startup community and strengthen entrepreneurial initiatives.
  • Plan, organize, and execute the entrepreneurship contributions at events such as the AI + X Summit and AI House Davos, covering logistics, scheduling, and onsite management.
  • Create and schedule engaging content for digital and social media channels to promote activities and engage the startup community.
  • Oversee events from initial planning to post-event evaluation, ensuring every detail is managed efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-driven mindset.
  • Proven ability and motivation to independently set up and manage projects.
  • Excellent organizational skills and talent for communication, enabling effective interactions with partners and startups.
  • Hands-on experience within a startup or startup ecosystem is a plus.
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in German is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with the Swiss startup ecosystem is desirable but not required.
