Project Background

We are seeking a proactive, hands-on, and organized Entrepreneurship & Community Coordinator to take on a vital role within our ETH AI Center's Entrepreneurship team. This position is essential for implementing activities—such as partnerships with VCs and service providers—that support our expanding community of affiliated startups. This role requires a commitment to action, enabling you to organize events, onboard startups, and run community programs effectively. You will help shape the future of AI entrepreneurship by translating strategic ideas into operational realities.

Job Description

• Take full ownership of executing community-building efforts for affiliated startups and entrepreneurial initiatives at the ETH AI Center.
• Be a visible and engaged presence in the community by actively participating in events and fostering meaningful relationships with startups, founders, and partners.
• Manage ongoing programs like the AI Launchpad, ensuring tasks are completed, timelines are met, and participants are supported throughout.
• Identify and reach out to potential partners, service providers, and collaborators who can add value to our affiliated startups.
• Scout and screen entrepreneurial talent, ensuring alignment with our community's standards and needs.
• Oversee the operational process of onboarding new startups to the ETH AI Center—from initial contact to official affiliation.
• Develop a strong local network to enhance the affiliate startup community and strengthen entrepreneurial initiatives at the ETH AI Center.
• Plan, organize, and execute entrepreneurship contributions at events such as the AI + X Summit and AI House Davos, managing logistics, scheduling, communication, and on-site execution.
• Create and schedule engaging content for digital and social media channels to connect with the startup community and promote initiatives.
• Take complete ownership of events, ensuring that every detail runs smoothly from initial planning to post-event wrap-up.

Profile

We are looking for candidates who possess:

• A proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-driven mindset.
• Proven ability and motivation to independently set up and manage projects.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, facilitating effective interactions with partners and affiliated startups.
• Hands-on experience in a startup or startup ecosystem (preferred).
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written; fluency in English is essential, and knowledge of German is a plus.
• Prior experience working with startups or startup-support organizations.
• Familiarity with the Swiss startup ecosystem (preferred, but not required).
