Project Background

We are seeking a proactive, hands-on, and organized Entrepreneurship & Community Coordinator to be at the forefront of our initiatives within the ETH AI Center's Entrepreneurship team. This role is essential for the direct implementation of activities, including partnerships with VCs and service providers, to support our expanding community of affiliated startups. This position requires someone who is eager to roll up their sleeves and make things happen. From organizing events to onboarding startups and managing community programs, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of AI entrepreneurship by transforming strategic ideas into operational realities.

Job Description

• Take full ownership of executing community-building efforts for affiliated startups and entrepreneurial initiatives at the ETH AI Center.
• Ensure active community engagement by being a visible presence, participating in events, and fostering meaningful relationships with startups, founders, and partners.
• Manage ongoing programs such as the AI Launchpad, ensuring tasks are completed, timelines are adhered to, and participants receive full support.
• Identify and reach out to potential partners, service providers, and collaborators who can add value to affiliated startups.
• Scout and evaluate entrepreneurial talent to ensure alignment with our community's standards and needs.
• Oversee the operational process of onboarding new startups to the ETH AI Center, from first contact to official affiliation.
• Develop a strong local network to enhance the affiliated startup community and reinforce entrepreneurial initiatives at the ETH AI Center.
• Plan, organize, and execute the entrepreneurship contributions at events such as the AI + X Summit and AI House Davos, including logistics, scheduling, communication, and on-site management.
• Create and schedule content for digital and social media channels to engage the startup community and promote activities.
• Manage events from initial planning to post-event evaluation, ensuring every detail runs smoothly.

Profile

We are looking for candidates with:

• A proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-driven mindset.
• The ability and motivation to independently set up and manage projects.
• Excellent organizational skills and a talent for communication, facilitating effective interactions with partners and affiliated startups.
• Hands-on experience in a startup or startup ecosystem (a plus).
• Exceptional communication skills, with fluency in English; German proficiency is a plus.
• Prior experience working in or with startups or startup-support organizations.
• Familiarity with the Swiss startup ecosystem (a nice-to-have, not required).
