Position: Entrepreneurship & Community Manager

We are seeking a proactive, hands-on, and organized Entrepreneurship & Community Manager to be at the forefront of our ETH AI Center’s Entrepreneurship team. This role is essential for implementing activities, including partnerships with VCs and service providers, to support our growing community of affiliated startups. You will be rolling up your sleeves to ensure that we translate strategic ideas into operational reality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of executing community-building efforts for affiliated startups and entrepreneurial initiatives.
  • Be a visible and engaged presence in the community—actively participate in events, foster meaningful relationships with startups, and maintain strong connections with founders and partners.
  • Operate and manage ongoing programs like the AI Launchpad, ensuring tasks are completed and timelines are met.
  • Identify and engage potential partners, service providers, and collaborators who can add value to our community.
  • Scout and screen entrepreneurial talent, ensuring alignment with community standards and needs.
  • Manage the operational process of onboarding new startups from initial contact to official affiliation.
  • Develop a strong local network to grow the startup community and strengthen entrepreneurial initiatives.
  • Plan, organize, and run entrepreneurship contributions at key events, including logistics and onsite execution.
  • Create and schedule content for digital and social media channels to engage the startup community and promote activities.
  • Ensure every detail of events runs smoothly from initial planning to post-event wrap-up.

Qualifications

  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-driven mindset.
  • Proven ability to independently manage projects effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills for effective interactions with partners and startups.
  • Hands-on experience in a startup or startup ecosystem is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication skills in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
  • Prior hands-on experience working in or with startups or startup-support organizations.
  • Familiarity with the Swiss startup ecosystem is desirable but not required.
