Experience in boarding school education or camp counseling is essential, as is an understanding of the American education system, given that most of our students are enrolled in U.S. schools. This knowledge will aid in communication with their homeschools and in aligning with their academic expectations.

Our program values clear structures, a traditional role distribution between staff and students, and a respectful and disciplined learning environment. Daily responsibilities also include light housekeeping duties, where staff lead students in routine chores such as kitchen cleanup, bathroom maintenance, and the upkeep of communal areas.

  • Provide writing instruction and support across academic assignments
  • Guide theater activities
  • Support oral communication and presentation skills in a formal academic setting
  • Participate in student supervision during excursions, weekends, and shared evening responsibilities
  • Provide overnight residential supervision for male students (on-site accommodation provided)
  • Engage in daily school routines, including oversight of student cleaning duties (kitchen, bathrooms, common areas, etc.)

Required Profile

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in English, Journalism; theater experience is a plus
  • Experience in pastoral care, guiding adolescents in a boarding school or summer camp setting
  • Strong background in writing instruction, public speaking, and editing
  • Experience in theater or drama education, especially directing or coordinating productions
  • High level of responsibility, independence, and maturity
  • Must be male due to residential supervision duties in the boys' dormitory
  • Comfortable working in a traditional educational culture emphasizing values, structure, respect, and clearly defined adult-student roles

Additional Assets

  • Familiarity with residential school and camp programs, ideally with personal experience as a student
  • Understanding of U.S. secondary school or summer camp culture
  • Familiarity with the U.S. education system is strongly preferred, as the majority of our students come from the U.S.
  • Experience living or working abroad
  • French language skills for weekly tutorials
  • A good sense of humor is a definite plus, as our program values structure and discipline while benefiting from staff who can connect with students through warmth and laughter.

What We Offer

  • Short-term, full-time position (approximately January 5 – March 30, 2026)
  • On-site lodging provided (shared room with another faculty member), including full board
