Join Our Team as an Engineering Project Manager (CAPEX)

Are you ready to take on a high-impact role in managing engineering projects within a dynamic biotechnology and pharmaceutical environment? Proclinical is seeking an Engineering Project Manager (CAPEX) to lead and deliver local capital expenditure projects, primarily in the Fill-Finish area. This position encompasses the entire project lifecycle, from feasibility through planning, execution, and qualification/validation.

This role is integral to the global engineering and project delivery team and requires a hands-on approach to managing complex projects within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry. Please note, candidates must possess the right to work in this location or hold an EU passport to be considered for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage mid-sized CAPEX projects with high complexity, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Oversee all project phases, including feasibility studies, planning, execution, and qualification/validation.
  • Manage contracts and control project budgets effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards.
  • Apply expertise in chemical, biotech, or pharmaceutical process and infrastructure engineering.
  • Ensure adherence to cGxP standards and manage qualification processes.
  • Provide leadership and direction to project teams, fostering collaboration and efficiency.

Key Skills and Requirements

  • A degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or higher) in mechanical, electrical, process, or chemical engineering (or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing engineering or project teams.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing mid-sized CAPEX projects in the chemical, biotech, or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Strong project management skills, including contract management and financial controlling.
  • In-depth knowledge of chemical, biotech, or pharmaceutical processes and infrastructure engineering.
  • Familiarity with cGxP standards and qualification processes.
  • Fluency in both German and English, written and spoken.
