On is seeking a Senior Lead - Integrated Planning Platform to join our engineering team at our headquarters in Zurich. We are looking for a leader who seamlessly combines extensive strategic Supply Chain Planning expertise with a solid background in software engineering and technology. In this role, you will lead complex projects and a high-performing team that delivers large-scale planning system solutions—the digital backbone of our global supply chain.
Your Mission
- Lead & Empower Teams: Inspire and grow engineering teams focused on the Integrated Planning Platform. Ensure that the team has a clear mission aligned with On's global supply chain goals, encourage a collaborative environment, and balance close management with empowering increasing autonomy.
- Supply Chain & Platform Delivery: Be fully accountable for the delivery, timeline, quality, and hiring for your teams. Manage risk, anticipate blockers, and address uncertainties in larger, more complex deliverables.
- Technical & Architectural Leadership: Oversee the team’s technical decisions and solutions, ensuring alignment with On Tech's architectural vision. Guide the architecture to effectively handle complex supply chain data flows and high-volume planning cycles.
- Strategic Partnership: Collaborate closely with end-to-end Planning business leaders, product managers, and project management to plan deliverables. Translate intricate supply chain business needs into scalable technical initiatives and define the scope of delivery.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure the reliable operation of your team's planning systems in accordance with established service level objectives (SLOs). Prioritize time-sensitive incidents that may impact vital planning and purchasing cycles and enable iterative rollout, testing, and release engineering practices.
- Culture & Values: Model On's technology values and principles. Foster an inclusive, multi-team environment that promotes a culture of seeking feedback and delivering recognition.
Your Story
- Supply Chain Planning Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree (or 8 years with a Master’s degree). You possess an extensive background in Supply Chain Planning, including deep functional knowledge in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), demand planning, and inventory management.
- Technical Background: A strong engineering or technical background with a proven track record of driving impact. Experience in building, scaling, or integrating enterprise planning architectures, ERP systems, and data-intensive applications is essential. Knowledge of Anaplan or similar enterprise planning platforms is a strong plus.
- People Leadership: Proven experience managing teams of engineers or individual contributors. You have a history of developing high performers and driving continuous improvement within your teams.
- Navigating Complexity: Demonstrated ability to identify underlying business and technical issues, uncover root causes in complex supply chain data, and deliver effective solutions across multiple domains.
- Collaboration & Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You adapt your style for cross-functional initiatives, building strong collaborative relationships with technical peers, supply chain stakeholders, and senior leaders.
