Your Crew
You will be part of our 5-person Innovation team based in our brand-new Zurich office. Your role will be pivotal in driving innovation and developing design solutions for Launcher Subsystems in R&D projects, while exploring and advancing cutting-edge technologies to create value for our customers. This diverse team comprises highly skilled engineers from various backgrounds and nationalities, each bringing their unique perspective to the table. Your Mission
- Develop innovative technical solutions and generate ideas, concepts, and methods to resolve theoretical and practical issues.
- Propose and follow through with market-oriented initiatives to improve existing products, technologies, and production processes.
- Serve as the technical and programmatic authority within the R&D project.
- Plan R&D projects, managing scope, schedule, budget, and risk.
- Support the creation of detailed R&D roadmaps, including business cases.
- Define development logics and experimental approaches.
- Interface with customers and suppliers on technical and programmatic topics.
- Align with adjacent Engineering teams to share best practices and achieve synergies.
Your Story
- Education in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, with a minimum M.Sc. level.
- Experience with space engineering, subsystems design, and development.
- Technical understanding of the space market and technologies for Launch Vehicles.
- Knowledge and experience with composite materials products.
- Application of AI tools to engineering problems (AI, ML, programming languages).
- Experience in process and product digitalization (digital twin, augmented reality, sensors).
- Fluent in English; German is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Project Management techniques.
- Proven expertise with innovation tools and methods in industrial applications.
- Engineering know-how from adjacent industries (Aeronautics, Aerospace, Automotive, Defense).
