Are you ready to lead the future of trade compliance across the EMEA region? Proclinical is seeking an EMEA Regional Trade Compliance Manager to enhance our trade compliance capabilities. This pivotal role emphasizes standardizing processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting business growth through operational efficiency. You will be instrumental in implementing global trade management systems and integrating compliance into our business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement the EMEA compliance roadmap aligned with global strategies.
- Standardize and scale trade compliance operations across the region.
- Monitor regulatory developments in EMEA and assess their impact on business operations.
- Support the implementation and optimization of global trade management (GTM) systems.
- Embed trade compliance processes into system workflows and drive user adoption through training and communication.
- Continuously improve core trade compliance areas, including import/export controls, tariff classification, valuation, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage relationships with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to ensure compliant cross-border transactions.
- Establish consistent practices for country of origin determination, export control classification, and license management.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Legal, IT, and Commercial teams to integrate compliance into business processes.
- Provide guidance on trade compliance risks and opportunities to regional leadership.
- Develop governance mechanisms, KPIs, dashboards, and reporting to monitor compliance performance and risk trends.
- Act as a point of contact for customs authorities and regulatory agencies during audits and inquiries.
- Build and develop regional trade compliance capabilities, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Key Skills and Requirements
- Expertise in trade compliance, global trade operations, import/export controls, and related processes.
- Experience with global trade management systems such as Oracle GTM or SAP GTS.
- Familiarity with EMEA regulatory environments and cross-border trade operations.
- Strong ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and standardize processes.
- Proven experience in collaborating with brokers, logistics providers, and internal teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, International Trade, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong skills in process leadership, systems integration, and data management.
- Ability to translate strategy into actionable solutions and drive change adoption.
- Risk-based thinking and strategic planning capabilities.
- Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, Master's in International Business or Supply Chain) is preferred.
- Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated industries.
- Background in high-growth, internationally expanding organizations.
- Familiarity with automation, analytics, or digital transformation initiatives.
- Professional certifications in trade compliance, customs, or supply chain (e.g., Licensed Customs Broker, CCS) are advantageous.
