Team & Mission
Verity is seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to join our Mechatronics team. In this role, you will be involved in the building, testing, and refining of the electronics hardware for our current and next-generation indoor drone technology.
Our systems incorporate a broad spectrum of electrical and mechanical designs, including embedded computers, high-power battery charging systems, motor control, high-definition optical systems, collision avoidance sensors, and high-speed digital and analog circuits. These electronic components are meticulously integrated into precision-engineered plastic and carbon packages, designed for reliability and continuous operation.
As a part of our dynamic engineering team, you will engage hands-on in the workshop, collaborating with engineers to continuously enhance system performance—improving charging speed, optimizing thermal management, and increasing manufacturability. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of tools and processes that streamline manufacturing, reduce errors, and assist in investigating root causes when components fail. This position is ideal for someone who excels in practical problem-solving and iterative improvement.
Core Responsibilities
- Build and test electrical and mechanical assemblies for prototypes, experiments, and system improvements.
- Execute validation procedures to ensure electrical and mechanical components meet performance specifications.
- Develop manufacturing support equipment and tools that enhance production efficiency and minimize errors.
- Design and refine test procedures that help the team understand system performance and failure modes.
- Document test findings and technical issues clearly, contributing to the team’s continuous improvement cycle.
Your Experience
- Completed apprenticeship, vocational training, or equivalent qualification in electronics.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience working with electronics hardware.
- Proficient in reading schematics and using test equipment, including oscilloscopes and multimeters.
- Skilled in PCB assembly and soldering techniques.
- Comfortable working autonomously with software tools to conduct tests and analyze results.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); experience with 3D printing is a strong plus.
Who You Are
You are a reliable and collaborative team player who enjoys working with both people and hardware. Your positive can-do attitude contributes to an uplifting atmosphere. A strong sense of ownership and curiosity will be highly valued by our talented team.
