Maintenance Technician in Electrical Engineering

We are partnering with a prominent international player in rail infrastructure, seeking a Maintenance Technician specializing in Electrical Engineering. This organization is integral to large rail projects, providing essential materials, logistics, and technical services. Based in Hilversum, they ensure that all machinery and installations operate at optimal efficiency. Your contributions will be vital, as efficient machines are crucial to continuous operations.

Your Responsibilities

• Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on machines, installations, and tools.
• Analyzing and resolving electrical malfunctions, including PLC controls and drives.
• Assessing malfunctions and determining when to engage external parties.
• Implementing temporary solutions to maintain production safely.
• Guiding and supporting operators in their technical maintenance efforts.
• Overseeing external technicians and maintenance teams.
• Contributing ideas for improvements and optimization of machinery.

Your Profile

• At least an MBO degree in electrical engineering or related experience.
• Proficient in reading technical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Knowledgeable about PLCs, control technology, and regulated drives.
• Affinity for machinery such as milling, turning, sawing machines, conveyor belts, and cranes.
• Basic mechanical knowledge (or a willingness to learn).
• Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions.
• Commitment to prioritizing safety and quality.
• Enjoyment of working in a close-knit, small team environment.
