Join ANAVIA: Electrical Systems Engineer
ANAVIA specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) systems weighing up to 500 kilograms. Our company offers industry-leading unmanned helicopter systems tailored for a variety of mission profiles, including Surveillance & Reconnaissance, Inspection, Mapping, and Cargo.
Position Overview
As an Electrical Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and optimization of electrical wiring interconnection systems that propel our innovative VTOL solutions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: 3-5 years of proven experience in EWIS design, wire harness development, or aerospace electrical systems. Familiarity with aircraft wiring systems, UAV and GCS electrical integration, or aerospace manufacturing is preferred. Hands-on experience with wire harness assembly, installation, and testing is essential.
Skills
- Strong understanding of electrical wiring principles, wire sizing, and circuit protection.
- Proficiency with electrical CAD tools for harness design (e.g., Capital Harness, CATIA Electrical Workbench).
- Proven experience with connector systems and termination techniques, along with an understanding of EMC/EMI principles and wire segregation requirements.
- Familiarity with electrical testing equipment, including multimeters, continuity testers, and hipot testers.
- Knowledge of wire protection methods such as braiding, conduit, heat shrink, and cable ties.
- Experience with composite aircraft structures and challenges related to EWIS installation.
- Hands-on problem-solving skills with the capacity to support both design and production activities; adaptable to working in both office and production environments.
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks and aerospace wiring standards (e.g., SAE AS50881, FAA AC 21-99(0), DO-160).
- Knowledge of lightning protection and HIRF (High Intensity Radiated Fields) requirements, alongside familiarity with automotive or aerospace quality standards (AS9100, ISO 9001).
Communication
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of working effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good language skills in English (oral and written); German is desirable.
