ANAVIA specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) systems with a capacity of up to 500 kilograms. We are proud to offer industry-leading unmanned helicopter systems tailored for a variety of mission profiles, including Surveillance & Reconnaissance, Inspection, Mapping, and Cargo.
Position Overview
As an Electrical Systems Engineer, you will be integral to the design, integration, and testing of flight control software for our unmanned helicopter systems. Your collaboration with cross-functional teams will ensure that our systems remain reliable, efficient, and compliant with industry standards.
Your Main Responsibilities
- System Design: Develop electrical and electronic systems for unmanned vehicles, including power distribution, sensors, communication systems, and control electronics.
- Integration: Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems with mechanical, software, and control systems, ensuring seamless operation.
- Testing and Validation: Conduct testing and validation of electrical systems and components, performing performance evaluations and troubleshooting issues.
- Component Selection: Research and select appropriate electrical components and subsystems, ensuring reliability, performance, and compliance with industry standards.
- Documentation: Create detailed technical documentation, including schematics, design specifications, and test plans to support development and regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with software engineers and systems engineers to ensure that electrical designs meet overall project objectives and requirements.
- Problem-Solving: Diagnose and resolve electrical issues in prototypes and production systems, implementing design improvements as necessary. Take a hands-on approach during troubleshooting.
Qualifications We Value
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in electrical design for unmanned systems, robotics, or aerospace applications is preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in circuit design and embedded systems, along with familiarity with design software (e.g. Altium, MATLAB). Knowledge of communication protocols (e.g. CAN, I2C, SPI) is essential.
- Communication: Excellent communication and social skills, as well as strong analytical and technical understanding.
- Language: Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
