ANAVIA specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) systems weighing up to 500 kilograms. We offer industry-leading unmanned helicopter systems tailored for a variety of mission profiles, including Surveillance and Reconnaissance, Inspection, Mapping, and Cargo.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in PCB design and electronics development.
- Industry Experience: Experience with aerospace, defense, or UAV/UAS electronics systems preferred; hands-on experience with PCB design tools and electronics laboratory equipment.
- Skills: Proficiency with PCB design software (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD, Eagle, or KiCAD).
- Simulation Tools: Experience with simulation tools (PSpice or equivalent) and a strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles.
- Power Electronics: Knowledge of power electronics, including switching regulators, DC-DC converters, and battery management systems; familiarity with microcontrollers and embedded systems hardware.
- EMC/EMI Knowledge: Understanding of EMC/EMI design principles and mitigation techniques.
- Testing Experience: Proficient in electronics testing using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and other test equipment.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Hands-on problem-solving skills with the ability to support both design and production activities; readiness to work in both office and production floor environments.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and certification standards (e.g., FAA AC 21-99(0), SAE AS50881, IPC-2221); knowledge of communication protocols (CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet) and the DO-254 certification process.
- Quality Standards: Knowledge of automotive or aerospace quality standards (AS9100, ISO 9001).
- Communication: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and capacity to work effectively in cross-functional teams; capable of managing multiple projects independently.
- Language Proficiency: Good English language skills (oral and written); German is desirable.
Key Tasks
- PCB Design & Development:
- Design and develop printed circuit boards for avionics, power distribution, sensor interfaces, and control systems.
- Create schematics and PCB layouts using industry-standard CAD tools.
- Perform component selection and bill of materials (BOM) generation.
- Ensure designs meet aerospace environmental requirements.
- Develop multilayer PCB designs with controlled impedance and power integrity considerations.
- Electronics System Design:
- Design analog and digital circuits.
- Develop power management systems.
- Implement EMI/EMC mitigation techniques in circuit and PCB design.
- Testing & Validation:
- Develop test plans and procedures for validation.
- Conduct bring-up, debugging, and characterization of new designs.
- Use various test equipment for performance analysis.
- Support environmental testing and flight test activities.
- Documentation & Compliance:
- Create detailed technical documentation.
- Maintain configuration management and support compliance with aerospace standards.
- Develop manufacturing documentation.
- Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
- Coordinate with suppliers and contract manufacturers for component procurement and PCB fabrication.
