ANAVIA specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) systems with a capacity of up to 500 kilograms. We offer industry-leading unmanned helicopter systems tailored to various mission profiles such as Surveillance & Reconnaissance, Inspection, Mapping, and Cargo.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: 3-5 years of proven experience in PCB design and electronics development, preferably within aerospace, defense, or UAV/UAS electronics systems.
- Skills: Proficient in PCB design software (Altium Designer, OrCAD, Eagle, or KiCAD) and simulation tools (PSpice or equivalent), with a strong understanding of analogue and digital circuit design principles.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with power electronics, microcontrollers, embedded systems, and communication protocols (CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet). Experience with the DO-254 certification process and knowledge of automotive or aerospace quality standards (AS9100, ISO 9001) is essential.
- Communication: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams. Strong proficiency in English (both oral and written); German is desirable.
Key Tasks
- PCB Design & Development:
- Design and develop printed circuit boards for avionics, power distribution, sensor interfaces, and control systems.
- Create schematics and PCB layouts using industry-standard CAD tools.
- Perform component selection and generate bill of materials (BOM).
- Ensure designs meet aerospace environmental requirements.
- Develop multilayer PCB designs focusing on controlled impedance and high-speed signal routing.
- Electronics System Design:
- Design analog and digital circuits including power supplies and communication circuits.
- Develop power management systems and implement EMI/EMC mitigation techniques.
- Testing & Validation:
- Develop test plans and conduct debugging and characterization of new PCB designs.
- Support environmental testing and flight test activities.
- Documentation & Compliance:
- Create and maintain technical documentation and support certification activities.
- Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
- Coordinate with suppliers and contract manufacturers for effective collaboration.
Competencies & Duties
- Work independently and responsibly, adhering to ANAVIA’s employment policies and safety requirements.
- Be prepared for international travel, requiring up to 25% of working hours.
