Our dedicated team of 320 talented professionals is primarily based in Switzerland, near Zurich and in Mollis (Canton of Glarus).
Your Responsibilities
The Electrical Lead or System Engineer will be responsible for:
- Managing assigned electrical systems and suppliers from a technical viewpoint
- Executing system tests
- Participating in the Design Assurance Process
- Contributing to System Certification Activities
- Supporting stakeholders, including Airworthiness, Safety, Human Factors, Ground & Flight Testing, etc.
Key Tasks
- Writing Technical Requirement Documents (TRDs) for Kopter's custom-designed electrical systems
- Performing Electrical Load Analysis for various aircraft configurations
- Managing, validating, and verifying requirements in DOORS
- Conducting technical meetings (System Requirement Review, Qualification Review, etc.)
- Performing system tests on test rigs and aircraft
- Analyzing test rig and flight test data
- Writing test plans and certification documentation reports
Your Qualifications & Experience
- University Degree or equivalent in Electrical, Control, or Aerospace Engineering
- 2 to 5 years of experience in designing Electrical Power Generating and Distribution Systems for fixed or rotary wing aircraft; candidates with over 5 years of relevant experience will be considered for a Lead role
- Experience in electrical systems development, integration, requirements, and design assurance
- Knowledge of aircraft electrical generation and distribution systems
- Familiarity with EASA and/or FAA certification requirements
- Environmental qualification (DO-160) is an asset
- Experience in airborne software and hardware development (DO-178 and DO-254) is an advantage
