The primary objective of this position is to inspire and support students in maximizing their learning opportunities at our school. Specifically, the role involves teaching English and EAL to Middle School Secondaire students, with the potential for additional responsibilities as a homeroom advisor.
This position is expected to commence in mid-August 2026.
The ideal candidate will possess a relevant EAL teaching qualification along with a teaching qualification in English and/or EAL. A Master’s degree in a suitable area of pedagogy is preferred.
Applicants should have proven experience in teaching in a Middle School setting to students for whom English is not their first language, preferably within an international school environment. The ability to cater to the needs of students with diagnosed learning differences is essential. Prior experience as a homeroom advisor is considered an asset.
The successful candidate will excel in teamwork, meet tight deadlines, and effectively implement classroom and differentiation strategies.
The ideal candidate will be a native English speaker capable of integrating educational technology to enhance the learning experience. Strong organizational skills paired with effective verbal and written communication are crucial.
The post holder must remain vigilant about Child Protection guidelines, maintaining a professional distance from students while fostering effective and caring working relationships. An understanding of the importance of diversity and inclusion, alongside a commitment to combat discrimination in any form, is essential. Background investigations and reference checks covering the past ten years will be conducted during the selection process.
