Job Description

Join us in an exciting opportunity to support our Automotive unit as the Director of Private Clients, becoming the Business Owner of this segment with full P&L responsibility. We are seeking a business-minded professional with a passion for product management who is eager to take ownership of the P&L for our existing Private Clients business and to drive a new value proposition for this segment.

As a key member of the Automotive Leadership Team, you will collaborate closely with colleagues in Product, Development, Professional Business, and Marketing to create and capture value for the Business Unit. Your experience in the digital/classifieds space, combined with your affinity for the automotive market, will be essential for your success in this role.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing a vision and setting the strategic direction for the Private Clients business, based on systematic market insights and analysis.
  • Driving growth through the optimization of the current business (C2C).
  • Scaling a nascent Private Seller business line (C2B) with a dedicated team, in close collaboration with other teams.
  • Identifying new business opportunities and extensions within the sector.
  • Owning the Business Unit P&L and promoting data-driven decision-making.
  • Working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Marketing teams.
  • Inspiring internal and external stakeholders to deliver the best solutions.
  • Contributing actively to strategic discussions and overarching decisions as a member of the Automotive Leadership Team.

  • Strategic mindset and strong business acumen, with the ability to translate opportunities and needs into tangible business actions.
  • Extensive track record of clear and effective communication with C-level stakeholders and across cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in agile and data-driven approaches to work.
  • Languages: Fluency in English is required; very good spoken German is also preferred.
