Your Role

Brenntag Specialties Pharma is seeking a senior leader to assume a dual strategic role that combines Principal Management leadership with segment ownership for Nutritional Health across EMEA. This position is pivotal in shaping how Brenntag partners with strategic suppliers globally while driving growth, innovation, and market leadership in the Nutritional Health segment across EMEA. The role functions as a strategic enabler, connecting global direction with regional execution.

Responsibilities

Principal Management Strategy & Leadership (≈70%)

  • Define and drive Brenntag’s principal management strategy in alignment with corporate and regional priorities.
  • Build and maintain senior-level strategic partnerships with key global and regional principals.
  • Lead supplier onboarding, portfolio governance, and commercial frameworks.
  • Act as the senior escalation point for complex supplier, portfolio, and governance topics.
  • Negotiate distribution agreements to ensure contractual consistency and compliance.
  • Drive portfolio expansion, growth initiatives, and market development opportunities.
  • Monitor financial performance, risks, and reporting via digital SRM tools.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Principal Managers.

Nutritional Health Segment Leadership - EMEA (≈30%)

  • Drive sales and gross profit growth for the Nutritional Health segment across EMEA.
  • Define and execute the EMEA Nutritional Health strategy, aligned with market trends, customer needs, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Build and manage a strong, differentiated product portfolio.
  • Lead and develop a dedicated Business Development team.
  • Steer innovation, opportunity pipeline management, and key EMEA customer projects.
  • Collaborate closely with Innovation, Application, and local sales teams to ensure high-quality execution.

Your Profile

  • Proven experience in senior commercial, segment, or business management roles.
  • Strong background in Principal / Supplier Management, portfolio strategy, or complex B2B partnerships.
  • Deep understanding of the Nutritional Health market, customers, and applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multifunctional and international teams.
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong financial and analytical acumen.
  • Ability to balance global alignment with regional and local execution.
  • Track record of driving growth through strategy, innovation, and governance.
