About the Global Commodities & Intelligence Centre of Excellence

RBI is enhancing its global procurement organization by establishing the Global Commodities & Intelligence Centre of Excellence (CoE). This CoE will deliver commodity intelligence, data, risk management, and commercial decision support to procurement teams across RBI’s brands and markets.

The CoE will serve as the analytical backbone of the global procurement function, supporting regional teams in making quicker, data-driven sourcing and negotiation decisions.

Your Opportunity

The Director, Global Commodity Management & Analytics will build and lead RBI’s newly established CoE. This role is crucial as it involves developing the operating model, governance, analytical capabilities, tools, and team.

This newly created global position is ideal for a commercially minded commodity leader with extensive market expertise, strong negotiation experience, advanced analytical capabilities, and an interest in leveraging AI and data to enhance procurement decisions.

The role will primarily focus on the following direct commodity categories:

  • Sugar
  • Wheat
  • Soy
  • Corn
  • Pork
  • Beef
  • Chicken
  • Paperboard
  • Potatoes

The CoE will oversee market intelligence, forecasting, cost modeling, risk management, sourcing strategy, and upstream commercial negotiations for these categories, tailored to the specific market needs.

This role will also provide advisory intelligence and risk support for selected indirect categories, including metals, steel, engineering, energy, maintenance, repair and operations, and industrial gases.

Additionally, the CoE will lead or support negotiations for upstream raw materials, such as raw meat cuts, agricultural commodities, and packaging feedstocks.

RBI adheres to a five-day, in-office work schedule to promote collaboration. Candidates should be comfortable working onsite five days per week.

Your Roles & Responsibilities

  • Build and lead the Global Commodities & Intelligence CoE, establishing the operating model, governance, team structure, and collaboration with regional and global procurement teams.
  • Define RBI’s global commodity intelligence strategy, including frameworks for market monitoring, price forecasting, risk assessment, scenario planning, and procurement timing recommendations.
  • Develop and deploy AI-enabled intelligence capabilities, including forecasting models, real-time market monitoring, should-cost tools, scenario analysis, and executive risk dashboards.
  • Own RBI’s global commodity risk management strategy, covering forward contracting, index-linked pricing, supplier diversification, and more.
  • Lead upstream commodity negotiations across the direct category portfolio, from market analysis and strategy development to supplier engagement and execution.
  • Oversee RBI’s Global Contingency and Risk Management Programme, including supply chain stress testing and geopolitical risk analysis.
  • Establish global should-cost models and benchmarks to validate supplier proposals and enhance sourcing decisions.
  • Manage external consultancies and market data vendors while developing a scalable data infrastructure.
  • Act as RBI’s global commodity intelligence leader, delivering market outlooks, cost-impact analyses, and executive briefings.
  • Partner with various departments to achieve cost savings, supply resilience, responsible sourcing, and improved governance.

Your Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in global commodity procurement, trading, or supply chain risk management.
  • Demonstrable expertise in at least three of the nine Direct categories, with a track record of executing large-scale upstream raw commodity negotiations.
  • Strong knowledge of commodity markets and financial risk instruments.
  • Proven experience in utilizing AI or advanced analytics tools for forecasting and decision support.
  • Experience leading a Centre of Excellence or intelligence function within a global organization.
  • Ability to influence across multiple brands and structures in a global matrixed organization.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate market dynamics into business recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills and executive presence, comfortable presenting to C-suite audiences.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are beneficial.
