The Role of Director of Food and Beverage

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Director of Food and Beverage to join The Park Gstaad, A Four Seasons Hotel in Switzerland!

Reporting to the General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the daily Food and Beverage operations while ensuring exceptional service and attention to detail for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Selection, talent management, and development of the Food and Beverage team.
• Being visible in operations to recognize our guests and cultivate new guest relationships.
• Collaborating closely with the Executive Chef to plan and develop innovative menus and wine lists.
• Controlling expenses through effective planning, budgeting, and purchasing decisions.
• Policy making and inventory control to ensure the highest levels of service excellence.

You will possess a unique talent for building, leading, coaching, training, and developing a strong team. Creating a supportive workplace where employees feel at home is essential, as well as fostering an environment that facilitates excellent guest experiences.

Our Ideal Candidate

The ideal Director of Food and Beverage candidate will have:

• A passion for delivering the highest standards consistently.
• A wealth of Food and Beverage experience in luxury resorts.
• A strong desire to focus on team development and creative flair, bringing personal energy to all food and beverage experiences.
• Essential pre-opening experience.

You should have at least five to seven years of experience in diverse Food and Beverage management roles, with hotel opening experience being advantageous. Fluency in both German and English is a must for this position, along with eligibility to work in the EU.
