Position Overview: Relationship Manager

The Relationship Manager serves as the primary point of contact for clients, granting them access to the full suite of wealth management capabilities and solutions offered by Deutsche Bank Wealth Management. This role involves collaborating closely with the Investment Manager to ensure effective day-to-day planning and servicing for clients.

The key responsibilities include acquiring new clients that align with the bank's business proposition, nurturing existing relationships, and ensuring a high-standard, comprehensive client experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and maintain overall relationships with clients, delivering a holistic client experience.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for addressing and resolving client complaints.
  • Generate new business opportunities with both existing and potential clients, focusing on new client acquisition and asset growth.
  • Manage and grow a private client portfolio consisting of high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals from the Turkish market.
  • Establish and nurture relationships within the region, requiring frequent travel to meet prospective clients.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of attracting new clients and prospects from the Turkish market.
  • Work effectively under pressure to meet set targets and deliver on revenue expectations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Investment Manager and Institutional Wealth Partner to build deeper client relationships and drive origination initiatives.
  • Handle day-to-day advisory responsibilities within the regulatory framework and stay informed about client-impacting initiatives.
  • Proactively identify client lending and financing needs, engaging specialists to capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Conduct continuous market analysis to unearth potential client leads and opportunities.
  • Act as the Accountable Client Owner, ensuring compliance with AML aspects and maintaining high-quality KYC standards.
  • Participate in relevant client marketing, commercial, and social events.
  • Maintain the team’s operational rhythm, leading by example and promoting collaborative behavior.
  • Work in partnership with other coverage, product, and support functions to effectively deliver DB’s value proposition.
  • Support the growth strategy and objectives of the business, contributing to a high-performing team.
  • Adhere to professional, legal, and ethical guidelines, and comply with internal and external regulations, while managing reputational risks and conflicts.

Required Skills

  • Detail-oriented with a keen focus on both strategic and execution levels.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong investment acumen and understanding of the governing regulatory framework.
  • Professional integrity and a proven track record of successful business from the Turkish market.
  • Self-starter with the ability to mentor and develop junior staff.
  • CFA, MBA, or other advanced degrees are preferred, along with 10 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Fluency in English and Turkish (both written and oral) is required; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
