Role Overview: Relationship Manager

The Relationship Manager serves as the primary point of contact for clients, facilitating access to the entire suite of wealth management capabilities offered by Deutsche Bank Wealth Management. This role involves close collaboration with the Investment Manager to ensure optimal day-to-day planning and service for clients.

The individual will focus on acquiring new clients and assets that align with the bank’s business proposition while growing existing relationships to ensure a holistic and high-standard client experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and maintain overall relationships with clients, providing a holistic client experience.
  • Be the first point of contact responsible for addressing client complaints effectively.
  • Generate new business from both new and existing clients, dedicating significant time to prospecting for new clients and assets.
  • Manage a private client portfolio consisting of high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals from the Turkish market.
  • Sustain relationships in the region, involving frequent travel to meet prospective clients.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of attracting new clients and prospects from the Turkish market.
  • Work under pressure with the ability to adapt to meet management-set targets, focusing on net new assets and revenue.
  • Collaborate closely with the Investment Manager and Institutional Wealth Partner to deepen client relationships.
  • Stay informed about relevant regulatory framework and client-impacting initiatives.
  • Proactively identify client lending and financing needs while working with specialists.
  • Conduct continuous market analysis to identify potential client leads and opportunities.
  • Act as the Accountable Client Owner for AML aspects, ensuring KYC compliance and timely account behavior oversight.
  • Participate in relevant client marketing, commercial, and social events.
  • Uphold the team’s operating rhythm, leading by example and demonstrating exemplary behavior.
  • Collaborate with other coverage, product, and support functions to deliver Deutsche Bank’s value proposition.
  • Support business growth strategies and contribute to achieving a high-performing team.
  • Operate within professional, legal, and ethical boundaries, adhering to all compliance regulations.

Skills

  • Detail-oriented with strong strategic and execution capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Superior investment acumen and understanding of the regulatory framework.
  • Professional integrity and a proven track record of success in the target market (Turkey).
  • Self-starter with the willingness and ability to develop other team members.
  • Credentialed with a CFA, MBA degree, or other advanced qualifications are preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Fluency in English and Turkish (both written and oral); additional languages are a plus.
