Position Overview: Relationship Manager

The Relationship Manager serves as the primary point of contact for clients, granting them access to the full spectrum of wealth management capabilities and solutions offered by Deutsche Bank Wealth Management. This role involves close collaboration with the Investment Manager to ensure high-quality planning and service for each client. The Relationship Manager is responsible for acquiring new clients and assets while nurturing existing relationships to provide a holistic and premium client experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain overall client relationships, ensuring a holistic client experience.
  • Act as the first point of contact for client inquiries and complaints.
  • Expand business with new and existing clients, focusing on prospecting and long-term relationship building.
  • Manage and develop a private client portfolio of high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals originating from the Turkish Market.
  • Build and sustain relationships in the region, with frequent travel to meet prospective clients.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of attracting new clients and prospects from the Turkish Market.
  • Adapt to working under pressure while meeting set targets by management.
  • Collaborate with the Investment Manager (and the Institutional Wealth Partner when appropriate) to deepen client relationships.
  • Adhere to regulatory frameworks while advising clients and keeping abreast of all client-impacting initiatives.
  • Proactively identify client lending and financing needs, involving specialists as necessary.
  • Conduct continuous market analysis to uncover potential client leads and opportunities.
  • Fulfill the role of Accountable Client Owner, ensuring all AML aspects and KYC processes are handled promptly and accurately.
  • Participate in relevant client marketing, commercial, and social events.
  • Uphold the team's operational rhythm, setting a positive example with role-model behavior.
  • Collaborate effectively with other coverage, product, and support functions to deliver Deutsche Bank's value proposition.
  • Support the business growth strategy and contribute to a high-performing team environment.
  • Operate within professional, legal, and ethical boundaries, flagging reputational risks as necessary.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Detail-oriented in both strategy and execution.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Superior investment acumen with understanding of the regulatory framework (e.g., RDR, MiFID II).
  • Professional integrity with a proven track record of successful business development in the Turkish market.
  • Self-starter with the ability to develop others, including analysts.
  • CFA, MBA, or other relevant advanced degrees are a plus, along with 10 or more years of experience.
  • Fluency in English and Turkish (written and oral) is required; proficiency in other languages is a bonus.
