Role Overview

The Relationship Manager serves as the key point of contact for clients, facilitating access to the full spectrum of wealth management capabilities and solutions provided by Deutsche Bank Wealth Management. This role entails working in close collaboration with the Investment Manager to ensure daily planning and servicing align with client needs. Responsibilities include acquiring new clients and assets that fit the bank's business model and nurturing existing business relationships, all while providing a holistic and superior client experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive relationships with clients, ensuring a holistic client experience.
  • Act as the primary point of contact and oversee resolution of client complaints.
  • Generate new business with existing and prospective clients, dedicating significant time to prospecting and relationship building.
  • Manage a private client portfolio of high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals from the Turkish Market.
  • Travel frequently to develop and sustain relationships within the region.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of attracting new clients from the Turkish Market.
  • Work under pressure while adapting to management-set targets, achieving net new assets and revenue goals appropriate to the Director level.
  • Collaborate with the Investment Manager to deepen client relationships and assist in origination.
  • Maintain day-to-day advisory responsibilities within the regulatory framework and stay updated on client-impacting initiatives.
  • Proactively identify and address client lending/financing needs, engaging specialists to develop further opportunities.
  • Conduct ongoing market analysis to find potential client leads and opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with AML regulations, timely KYC processes, and appropriate client account behavior.
  • Participate in relevant client marketing, commercial, and social events.
  • Support team dynamics through regular activities, such as prospect reviews and account planning.
  • Cooperate with other coverage, product, and support functions to deliver Deutsche Bank’s value proposition.
  • Contribute to the business growth strategy, fostering a high-performing team environment.
  • Act within professional, legal, and ethical guidelines, adhering to internal and external compliance regulations.

Skills Required

  • Detail-oriented approach at both strategic and execution levels.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong investment acumen and understanding of the regulatory framework.
  • Demonstrated professional integrity and a solid network within the Turkish market.
  • Self-starter attitude with the ability to mentor junior staff.
  • Advanced degrees (CFA, MBA, etc.) and 10 or more years of relevant experience are advantageous.
  • Fluency in both English and Turkish is required; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
