We are expanding our team and looking for Digital Managers/Senior Managers to join the Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) team, to be based in several of our Swiss office locations: Zürich, Geneva, Basel, Lausanne, and Bern.
About the Team
The Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) team at EY seeks to shape the future with confidence by assisting businesses in responding to societal, environmental, and economic challenges. We help organizations understand and evaluate the broader value impacts and outcomes associated with their operations, programs, and projects.
Our global team is multidisciplinary, combining our core knowledge in accounting and reporting with expertise in technical and regulatory sustainability issues. We assist clients in enhancing the credibility of their ESG (environmental, social, governance) reporting and integrating sustainability aspects into business processes, including supplier management, climate and nature strategies, and labor rights.
Your Role
We are seeking a Manager/Senior Manager to help clients unlock the value of digital, particularly through Microsoft's technology stack for sustainability and ESG transformation. In this role, you will advise and deliver across various topics, including ESG data and reporting, product and corporate carbon management, supplier engagement and due diligence, workflow automation, and target architecture design.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead client engagements focused on the design and implementation of sustainability technology solutions.
- Advise clients on target architectures, operating models, and technology roadmaps for ESG data, reporting, and performance management.
- Drive projects involving Microsoft solutions such as Power Apps, Power Automate, Dynamics 365, Fabric, Power BI, Azure, and Microsoft OpenAI and Copilot capabilities, as well as technologies from other software vendors.
- Utilize experience with AI-enabled solution design, including Copilot, Azure OpenAI, intelligent automation, document extraction, knowledge retrieval, or agent-based workflows.
- Contribute to AI architecture for enterprise use cases, covering areas like orchestration, security, access models, integration patterns, and human-in-the-loop controls.
- Translate business and regulatory requirements into solution designs, process flows, data models, and functional specifications.
- Lead workshops with business and technology stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize use cases, and align on delivery approaches.
- Oversee solution configuration, testing, deployment, and business adoption.
- Manage project teams, coach junior colleagues, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Support business development by crafting proposals, client pitches, points of view, and go-to-market offerings.
- Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders across sustainability, finance, procurement, operations, and IT.
Skills and Attributes for Success
To qualify for this role, you must have:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in technology/engineering, ideally combined with environmental sciences/engineering, sustainability, or related fields.
- A strong interest in sustainability topics such as climate change, human rights, biodiversity, and non-financial reporting & assurance; relevant training in these areas is a plus.
- Experience in climate change services, human rights, or financial and non-financial audits.
- The ability to work independently across multiple engagements with overlapping deadlines.
- Agility in adapting to new challenges, asking the right questions, and striving for effective solutions for clients.
- Strong project leadership, stakeholder management, and business development capabilities.
What We Look For
- 5-10+ years of relevant experience gained in a consulting firm.
- A solid understanding of the broader Microsoft stack, including Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Fabric, Azure, Power BI, Copilot, and Azure OpenAI services, or related technologies.
- A proven ability to lead workstreams or end-to-end projects in complex client environments.
- A deep understanding of data, process, and systems integration.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in developing proposals, managing teams, and contributing to practice growth.
- A university degree in business, technology, engineering, sustainability, or a related field.
- Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required; German or French is a plus.
Ideally, You Also Bring
- Experience with Microsoft Sustainability Manager.
- Knowledge of ESG, sustainability, carbon management, non-financial reporting, and supplier engagement.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture, cloud-based data platforms, and workflow automation.
- Experience integrating Microsoft solutions with ERP systems, data platforms, or third-party sustainability tools.
- A strong network within the Microsoft ecosystem or experience collaborating with alliance teams.
- Relevant certifications, preferably from Microsoft.
