We are expanding our international digital services regulatory practice in Geneva, Switzerland, and are looking for a dedicated professional to join our team.
Candidate Criteria
The ideal candidate must meet the following criteria:
- Admitted to practice law in Switzerland, the UK, the US, or an EU jurisdiction;
- At least 6 years of international experience in the law and policy of digital services regulation, including areas such as data protection, digital financial services, digital health, digital identification, artificial intelligence, telecommunications, and/or competition law;
- Extensive experience working with governments, international companies, and/or international financial institutions in the digital services sector;
- Experience in countries across Africa, the Arab World, and Asia-Pacific;
- Accustomed to collaborating with counterparts at the Minister, CEO, Director General, or equivalent levels;
- Actively involved in policy development in the digital sector, demonstrated through participation in bar associations, policy forums, think tanks, or publication of relevant articles;
- Holds a law degree with a high academic grade (e.g., at least a 2:1 from a UK university, or the equivalent from other countries) from a globally recognized top-tier university, or demonstrates equivalent academic ability;
- Proven strong leadership and initiative throughout their career;
- Excellent writing skills and experience, as evidenced by publications;
- Flawless professional standard of written and oral English, with the capability to communicate efficiently in both French and Arabic.
Role Expectations
The new team member will play a key role in formulating and delivering advice to private and public sector clients. Additionally, they will contribute to client development and firm administration.
The candidate is expected to bring a vision for their career and its strategic alignment with the firm’s development. A willingness to travel frequently across Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific is essential. The new team member will report to Rory Macmillan and will be based in Geneva, Switzerland.
