JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Development Engineer, you will take ownership of 2-3 epic feature developments each year, leading projects from the initial definition of technical solutions to the commercial promotion of the implemented results. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the epic/feature director, who will provide application-level requirements and guidance. You will also engage actively with other software development engineers, firmware engineers, and power electronics engineers. Additionally, you will have opportunities to interface with customers during larger project initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND MAIN DUTIES
In your capacity as project owner for 2-3 features/epics per year, your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with the director to identify technical solutions (software architecture, implementation approach, user interface, etc.).
- Scheduling your activities and those of colleagues involved in the projects.
- Executing software development and testing tasks.
- Producing both internal documentation and user-oriented materials.
- Contributing to the promotion of the results (usage examples, marketing materials, etc.).
- Interacting with customers to gather feedback and during project development.
- Providing assistance to customers, particularly regarding functions you have developed.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Hard Requirements:
- BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
- Demonstrable prior experience in C++.
- Fluency in English (both oral and written).
Desired Additional Skills:
- Prior experience with Qt.
- Previous experience as part of a development team in a professional setting.
- Familiarity with power electronics.
- Basic knowledge of French.
