Design Technology Teacher (Robotics and Coding)
Full-time position starting August 2026
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging Design Technology instruction across the secondary school, including IGCSE and IBDP.
- Inspire creativity, innovation, and inquiry through real-world applications and project-based learning.
- Participate in the design, implementation, and review of the Lower Secondary, IGCSE, and IBDP Design Technology programmes.
- Support the growth of innovation, entrepreneurship, and STEAM learning within the school.
- Lead practical student projects focusing on programming, automation, and robotics systems.
- Work collaboratively with curriculum leaders to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum and oversight of resources.
- Implement a variety of formative and summative assessment strategies to monitor and enhance student learning.
- Provide pastoral care and mentorship as a homeroom teacher.
- Engage in programs that include trips, excursions, competitions, clubs, and extracurricular activities.
- Promote the health, safety, and wellbeing of all students.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A degree in Design Technology or a closely related field.
- PGCE, QTS, or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven record of excellence in teaching, with at least three years of experience, preferably in an international setting.
- Experience teaching IGCSE and IBDP Design Technology is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of robotics, coding/programming, and electronics is essential.
- The ability to teach some Art would be a bonus.
- Capable of inspiring a diverse student body through engaging and challenging learning experiences.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong team-oriented approach.
- Adept at addressing student needs in both academic and pastoral matters.
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability in a dynamic school environment.
- Clear criminal records.
