About La Côte International School
Founded in 2008, La Côte International School is a co-educational, English-language-based day school for students aged 3 to 18. Located in Aubonne, Switzerland, just a short distance from Geneva and Lausanne, our school serves nearly 450 students from diverse cultures and backgrounds.

Position: Design Technology Teacher (Robotics and Coding)
100% – starting August 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively deliver the teaching and learning of Design Technology throughout the secondary school, including IGCSE and IBDP.
- Inspire creativity, innovation, and inquiry through real-world applications and project-based learning.
- Participate in the design, development, implementation, and review of the Lower Secondary, IGCSE, and IBDP Design Technology programmes.
- Support the development of innovation, entrepreneurship, and STEAM learning within the school.
- Lead practical student projects involving programming, automation, and robotics systems.
- Liaise with curriculum leaders to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum and manage resources efficiently.
- Develop and assess student learning using a variety of formative and summative strategies.
- Monitor student progress and implement interventions to ensure academic success.
- Serve as a homeroom teacher, providing pastoral care and mentorship.
- Contribute to a programme of trips, excursions, competitions, clubs, and extracurricular activities.
- Promote the health, safety, and wellbeing of all students.
Qualifications and Skills
- Subject-related degree in Design Technology or a closely related field.
- PGCE, QTS, or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven track record of excellence in teaching with at least three years of experience, ideally in an international environment.
- Experience teaching IGCSE and IBDP Design Technology is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of robotics, coding/programming, and electronics is essential for this role.
- Ability to teach some Art would be an asset.
- Ability to inspire mixed culture and ability classes through engaging and challenging learning opportunities.
- Excellent communication skills and being a strong team player.
- Capacity to support student needs in both learning and pastoral matters.
- Strong organisational skills and adaptability in a dynamic school environment.
- Clear criminal records.
