Main Duties
- Teach across a diverse age and ability spectrum, tailoring lessons to meet individual student needs.
- Engage in the broader school life by participating in sporting events, extracurricular activities, and other enriching experiences.
- Contribute to our Boarding Department.
- Commit to your own professional growth and continuous development.
- Mentor a small group of learners, tracking their progress and well-being.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to the safeguarding of all young people.
- Participate in subject-related administration and departmental meetings as necessary.
- Adhere to the school’s assessment and reporting processes, attending parents’ meetings when required.
Person Specification
- A good honors degree and/or a further degree in a directly related subject.
- Dedication to the principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- A genuine passion for Mathematics and the ability to inspire students.
- Willingness to embrace developments and innovations in teaching methodologies, including experimenting with new practices.
- Availability to supervise learners on the MYP Personal Project or DP Extended Essay.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with English as a mother tongue.
- Alignment with the educational vision of La Garenne International School, including a commitment to holistic education and co-curricular involvement.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships with colleagues and school leadership.
- Proficient in ICT and open to adopting new technologies.
