Your Crew
You will be part of our five-person Innovation team based in our new Zurich office. Your role will be pivotal in driving innovation and developing design solutions for Launcher Subsystems in R&D projects, while also exploring and advancing cutting-edge technologies to create value for our customers. This diverse team comprises highly skilled engineers from various backgrounds and nationalities, each contributing their unique perspective. Your Mission
- Develop conceptual and detailed design solutions for launcher subsystems, mechanisms, test setups, and prototypes in R&D projects, whether internal or customer-oriented.
- Conduct simple to complex design tasks using our standard CAD system.
- Write and review technical documentation, project-related deliverables, and other specifications.
- Proactively communicate and align cross-functionally with adjacent engineering functions and other departments such as operations, quality, and procurement.
- Support continuous improvements and propose market-oriented initiatives to enhance existing products, technologies, and production processes, including harmonization of product families, with Design to Cost (DtC) and Design for Manufacturing (DfM) in mind.
- Represent your engineering field during meetings and reviews with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Your Story
- University bachelor or master's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum of four years of experience as a design engineer or in a comparable role within a relevant engineering discipline.
- Extensive experience with CAD software, preferably Catia V5 and V6, ERP (e.g., SAP), PLM (e.g., Enovia or Teamcenter).
- Proficiency in English; German is an asset.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of the space industry and market.
- Hands-on and DIY aptitude to support prototyping.
- Experience with large composite structures and composite design.
- Experience in CAE analyses.
- Experience in product industrialization.
