Your Mission
Provide support in your engineering field during product development, production support, and projects. Conduct relevant design tasks with or without supervision.
Define and develop equipment (jigs & tools) as well as flight hardware in a cross-functional team, collaborating with manufacturing engineering, material and process, operations, quality, and other departments.
Support product development in design, analysis, system engineering, manufacturing engineering, and product assurance.
Proactively communicate and align cross-functionally with adjacent engineering fields and departments outside of engineering, such as operations, quality, procurement, and other teams.
Promote continuous improvement of processes and products to meet customer quality, cost, and demand expectations.
Write technical documentation, project-related deliverables, and other specifications pertinent to your area of expertise.
Follow task manager guidance for work prioritization and scheduling. Provide necessary input to the Task Manager and Technical Lead.
Understand and comply with internal Business Process Management (BPM) standards.
Act as Work Package/Task Manager. Report to the Technical Lead regarding budget and milestone progress. Elevate awareness on risks and potential blocking points.
Participate in Non-Conformance Review Boards (NRBs) according to the NC process.
Your Story
University bachelor or master's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or an equivalent Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education.
A minimum of two years of experience as a design engineer or in an equivalent role within a relevant engineering discipline.
Proficient business-level proficiency in both German and English.
Nice to Have
Knowledge of the space industry and market.
Experience with large composite structures and composite design.
Experience with MGSE, testing, or manufacturing equipment.
Industrialization experience.
Willingness to travel for short durations (1 day up to 2 weeks) to support acceptance and commissioning of new equipment at our manufacturing sites, and to assist with ongoing production in person.
