Your Mission
Support engineering tasks during product development, production support, and projects while conducting relevant design tasks with or without supervision.
Define and develop equipment (jigs & tools) as well as flight hardware in a cross-functional team alongside manufacturing engineering, materials and process, operations, quality, and other departments.
Assist product development, including design departments (including design to cost), analysis, system engineering, manufacturing engineering, and product assurance.
Proactively communicate and align cross-functionally with adjacent engineering fields and departments outside engineering, such as operations, quality, procurement, and other teams.
Support processes and product continuous improvements to align with customer quality, cost, and demand.
Write technical documentation, project-related deliverables, and specifications relevant to your field of work.
Follow task manager guidance for work prioritization and scheduling while providing necessary input to the Task Manager & Technical Lead.
Understand and comply with internal Business Process Management (BPM).
Manage work packages and tasks, reporting to the technical lead on budgets and milestones, while raising awareness of risks and blocking points.
Participate in NRBs (Non-Conformance Review Board) according to the NC process.
Your Story
University Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or an equivalent Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education.
A minimum of two years of experience as a design engineer or in a relevant role in engineering.
Extensive experience with CAD software (preferred systems: Catia V5, Teamcenter).
Proficient in German and English at a business level.
Nice to Have
Knowledge of the space industry and market.
Experience with large composite structures and composite design.
Experience with MGSE, testing, or manufacturing equipment.
Industrialization experience.
Willingness to travel for short periods (1 day to 2 weeks) to support the acceptance and commissioning of new equipment at our manufacturing sites, and ongoing production in person.
