Your Mission

  • Support engineering efforts during product development, production support, and project execution, conducting relevant design tasks with or without supervision.
  • Define and develop equipment (jigs & tools) and flight hardware in collaboration with manufacturing engineering, materials and processes, operations, quality, and other departments.
  • Support product development activities, including design department functions (such as design to cost), analysis, system engineering, manufacturing engineering, and product assurance.
  • Proactively communicate and align cross-functionally with adjacent engineering fields and departments outside engineering, including operations, quality, procurement, and other teams.
  • Enhance processes and product continuous improvements to meet customer quality, cost, and demand requirements.
  • Write technical documentation, project-related deliverables, and other specifications relevant to the field of work.
  • Follow guidance from the task manager for work prioritization and scheduling, providing necessary input to the task manager and technical lead.
  • Understand and comply with internal Business Process Management (BPM) protocols.
  • Act as work package/task manager, reporting to the technical lead on budget and milestones, and raising awareness of risks and blocking points.
  • Participate in Non-Conformance Review Boards (NRBs) according to the NC process.

Your Story

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or an equivalent Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education.
  • A minimum of two years of experience as a design engineer or in a similar role within a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Extensive CAD software experience (preferred systems: Catia V5, Teamcenter).
  • Proficient in German and English at a business level.

Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of the space industry and market dynamics.
  • Experience with large composite structures and composite design.
  • Expertise in MGSE, testing, or manufacturing equipment.
  • Industrialization experience.
  • Willingness to travel briefly (1 day to 2 weeks) to support acceptance and commissioning of new equipment at our manufacturing sites, as well as ongoing production support in person.
