Your Mission
Support engineering in product development, production support, and project management. Conduct relevant design tasks with or without supervision.
Define and develop equipment (jigs & tools) and flight hardware in a cross-functional team alongside manufacturing engineering, material and process specialists, operations, quality assurance, and other departments.
Contribute to product development across design, analysis, system engineering, manufacturing engineering, and product assurance.
Proactively communicate and align with neighboring engineering disciplines and departments outside of engineering, such as operations, quality, and procurement.
Support continuous process and product improvements to meet customer quality, cost, and demand.
Write technical documentation and project-related deliverables pertinent to your field of work.
Follow task manager guidance for work prioritization and scheduling; provide necessary input to the task manager and technical lead.
Understand and comply with internal Business Process Management (BPM).
Act as a work package/task manager, reporting to the technical lead on budget and milestones while raising awareness of risks and blocking points.
Participate in Non-Conformance Review Boards (NRBs) according to the NC process.
Your Story
University-level bachelor’s or master’s degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or an equivalent Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education.
Minimum of two years of experience as a design engineer or in an equivalent role within a relevant engineering discipline.
Extensive experience with CAD software (preferred systems: Catia V5, Teamcenter).
Proficiency in both German and English at a professional business level.
Nice to Have
Knowledge of the space industry and market.
Experience with large composite structures and composite design.
Experience with MGSE, testing, or manufacturing equipment.
Experience in industrialization.
Willingness to travel for short durations (1 day to 2 weeks) to assist with the acceptance and commissioning of new equipment at manufacturing sites and to support ongoing production in person.
