Join Clarus Capital Group AG as a Senior Investment Advisor & Trader
Clarus Capital Group AG is an independent wealth management firm and multi-family office based in Zürich, Switzerland. We are currently seeking a proactive and goal-oriented professional to fill the position of Senior Investment Advisor & Trader, starting immediately or by May 2025.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and experience in both technical and fundamental analysis of equity, FX, structured products, and commodity markets. Experience in managing Asset Management Companies (AMCs) and advisory portfolios is essential. Additional responsibilities may include client onboarding, KYC, and AML tasks as necessary.
Your Accountabilities
- Research of Listed Securities: Actively participate in the investment process by generating robust investment and trading ideas, and presenting these to partners and clients.
- Portfolio Management: Support the management of client and proprietary multi-asset portfolios by identifying suitable investment products aligned with client goals, developing bespoke solutions, conducting portfolio reviews, and preparing tailored investment proposals.
- Market Analysis: Contribute market views and conduct research on major currencies and interest rates, incorporating economic fundamentals.
- Transaction Execution: Execute electronic and manual derivative transactions for clients, including OTC, structured products, and Exchange Traded options while adhering to established risk limits and parameters.
- Performance Assessment: Conduct daily assessments of trading performance, along with analysis and backtesting of executed strategies.
- Reporting: Prepare regular performance reports and provide insights into trading activities and market developments.
Job Requirements
- University degree with a strong academic background in finance and derivatives.
- CFA designation or at least completion of Level 2 is required.
- In-depth knowledge of banking products including FX, IR, Equity, derivatives, structured products, securitization, and listed options.
- Proficient in financial statement analysis, financial modeling, and valuation techniques, including relative valuation and DCF.
- Expertise in structured products and managing AMCs with a proven trading track record.
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience in trade execution, sales trading, or relationship management within Private Banking, Investment Banking, or Fund Management.
- 5-7 years of overall experience or demonstrated proficiency in required areas.
- Knowledge of Swiss Bank Regulation and onboarding processes for new clients, including AML and KYC regulations.
- Fluency in English and Russian is mandatory.
- Ability to operate effectively in a high-pressure, fast-moving environment.
Preferred Technical Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with VBA or coding is a plus.
- Familiarity with Python and BQL.
- Strong analytical skills for assessing market data, trends, and pricing models for options.
- Strong knowledge of technical analysis.
- Proficiency in trading platforms and software, especially those used in the precious metals market and Bloomberg terminal.
