Deputy Housemaster / Deputy Housemistress

Collège Alpin Beau-Soleil SA - July 15, 2025

OUR PHILOSOPHY

At Beau Soleil, we believe that actions speak louder than words. This philosophy underpins everything we do for our community and our students. We are dedicated to the power of action, engagement, and participation both inside and outside the classroom.

Our unique holistic education is structured around four core values: Respect, Responsibility, Ambition, and Determination. These values form the foundation of community life for our international student body. Our students come from over fifty different countries, each bringing diverse academic backgrounds and a wide array of future aspirations.

With curricular programs available in both English and French, students graduate with either an IB or Advanced Studies Diploma. Our small class sizes allow for a flexible learning environment, where staff are encouraged and supported to introduce innovative ideas in all aspects of education.

OUR COMMUNITY

Located in the heart of Villars-sur-Ollon, we offer an enviable lifestyle with access to skiing in the winter and a multitude of outdoor and sporting activities throughout the year. The vibrant cities of Montreux, Lausanne, and Geneva are just a stone's throw away, providing ample opportunities for cultural enrichment and inspiration.

The Beau Soleil campus is an inspiring place to work, boasting world-class facilities. Our ongoing campus development and maintenance program ensures that both students and staff flourish within an environment they can take pride in.

YOUR PROFILE

Step into a role where every day offers connection, challenge, and the opportunity to shape lives.

At Collège Beau Soleil, boarding is more than just a place to sleep — it’s a community where friendships are forged, confidence blooms, and unforgettable moments are created. As Deputy Housemistress, you will be integral to that experience.

Working closely with the Housemistress, you will help lead a home filled with warmth, structure, and purpose. You will set the tone for daily life, offering guidance, encouragement, and care, whether during morning routines, weekend activities, or quiet evening check-ins. In the absence of the Housemistress, you will take the lead, ensuring the smooth operation of the house while making every student in your care feel heard, valued, and empowered.

This role enables you to be a mentor, a role model, and a steadfast presence during a transformative phase in the students' lives — affecting their personal, social, and emotional development.

This is a hands-on, people-centered role where each day presents new experiences. You will forge strong relationships with students, families, and staff, integrating pastoral care with academic support. Additionally, you will bring your energy and enthusiasm to the classroom with a reduced teaching load and actively participate in our co-curricular life, from creative workshops to alpine adventures.

We seek an individual who leads with empathy, communicates clearly, and thrives in a collaborative environment. If you are passionate about helping young people grow into confident, kind, and resilient individuals, we would be thrilled to welcome you to our community.
