Every summer, we welcome children aged 7-18 into our exceptional environment for one to five weeks. Our world-leading summer camps are filled with fun and adventure! YOUR PROFILE

As Deputy Head of Summer Camp, you will play a central role in bringing our summer experience to life. Working closely with the Head of Summer Camp, you will help create a warm, inclusive atmosphere filled with opportunities—a place where young people from around the globe feel safe, supported, and inspired to grow.

You have a passion for building positive, meaningful connections with children, families, and colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds. Your interactions are characterized by warmth, openness, and professionalism, and you maintain a calm, adaptable approach, even in the busiest moments of camp life.

Your strong partnership with the Head of Summer Camp will elevate the program, positioning it as a premium experience and an exciting introduction to Beau Soleil. You are flexible, enthusiastic, and ready to invest extra energy during peak camp periods, approaching every challenge with reliability and a strong sense of responsibility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate in the recruitment of campers while maintaining warm, timely communication with families and agencies.
  • Assist in planning and refining the camp program within the approved budget.
  • Support the recruitment, training, and supervision of seasonal staff.
  • Ensure camper wellbeing, safety, and health each day.
  • Apply and monitor risk assessments, safety standards, and operating procedures.
  • Help organize and coordinate events, excursions, and themed activities.
  • Communicate clearly with parents, campers, and agencies throughout the process.
  • Stay informed about best practices in camp management and child development.
  • Support essential administrative and admissions tasks as needed.

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Fluency in English; French is a plus, and any additional languages are appreciated.
  • Strong IT skills, including experience with CRM systems.

EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role or youth-focused environment.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and supervise a team, ideally in a summer camp or similar setting.
  • Experience working with children and young people.
  • Experience in hospitality, events, or education is considered an asset.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with people from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds.
  • Able to work independently and remain calm under pressure.
  • A positive, dedicated, and warm personality.
