Responsibilities

Your main challenge will be to determine the right price for the right customer at the right time. During this internship, you will engage with a core airline function and assist our team in designing and implementing data-driven innovations aimed at maximizing revenue. Specifically, you will:

• Assist in improving optimization models and tools for revenue management problems (e.g., demand forecasting, price optimization, competitor intelligence).
• Utilize data analytics, statistics, and simulations to support our team and deliver valuable business insights.
• Conduct benchmarking, research, and learn about trends and developments in the world of airline revenue management, focusing on Agentic AI and Automation.
• Prepare and present complex information to team members and relevant stakeholders.
• Contribute innovative ideas to our projects, collaborating with diverse teams across various LHG locations.
• Support the data science team with data exploration, wrangling, coding, and documentation.

Requirements

We are searching for a motivated and enthusiastic team player who can work independently and actively support us across various topics. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Master’s students or graduates in Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields.
• Preferred workload: 80-100%.
• Proficiency in programming and database querying (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on experience with machine learning algorithms, statistics, and operations research.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication abilities.
• Fluency in English.
• Interest in emerging technologies, AI, aviation, and revenue management.
• Understanding of economic principles and awareness of global trends and news.
• A strong willingness to learn and openness to new ideas.
