Tasks

In this pivotal role, you will conceptualize, design, and implement data-driven innovations to maximize Lufthansa Group's profitability. Specifically, we ask you to:

• Define, solve, and improve mathematical optimization models and tools for various challenges, including demand forecasting, price optimization, and competitor intelligence.
• Utilize advanced data analytics, statistics, and simulations to develop practical solutions to business problems and identify revenue opportunities.
• Develop and integrate AI and Automation solutions to innovate our tools.
• Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations of complex information to peers, interfaces, and management.
• Manage a diverse range of stakeholders with a focus on collaboration, empathy, and reaching collective goals.
• Gradually establish yourself as a center of expertise capable of leading complex projects in airline Revenue Management and Network Planning.

Requirements

• University master's degree in a quantitative field
• Proven research or work experience with advanced machine learning algorithms, statistics, and operational research
• Hands-on experience with emerging AI and Automation technologies, focusing on agentic AI solutions
• Advanced programming skills (e.g., Python, R)
• Familiarity with modern IT tools (cloud computing platforms, workflow automation, big data, etc.)
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities
• Strong business acumen; experience or interest in Revenue Management and/or Network Planning is a plus
• High level of conceptual capabilities and ability to translate analytical findings into business opportunities
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
• Highly motivated team player
• Fluency in English
