Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated LLM Intern to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with experienced engineers and researchers to develop, implement, and optimize cutting-edge natural language processing (NLP) and large language model solutions. This opportunity offers hands-on experience with real-world projects, allowing you to contribute directly to the company’s ongoing innovation in the AI domain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Text Data Analysis & Preprocessing: Collect, clean, and organize textual datasets using Python-based data analytics tools.
  • Model Development & Testing: Assist in the testing, fine-tuning, and evaluation of LLM models, focusing on use cases relevant to the insurance sector such as text generation, summarization, information extraction, and semantic search.
  • Software Engineering Best Practices: Contribute to project codebases using version control (Git), participate in code reviews, and adhere to software development best practices for high-quality, maintainable code.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work in an agile environment alongside senior engineers and data scientists, effectively communicating findings and technical challenges in English. (Knowledge of French is a plus.)
  • Research & Documentation: Stay updated on the latest trends in large language models, natural language processing, and machine learning. Document your work for internal knowledge sharing, including best practices, research findings, and prototype implementations.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with relevant coursework in machine learning and NLP.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in Python; familiarity with other programming languages is a plus.
    • Hands-on experience with Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, and Scikit-learn.
    • Understanding of fundamental ML & NLP concepts such as transformer architectures, text preprocessing, tokenization, language modeling, and text classification.
    • Basic understanding of version control (Git), modular coding practices, and testing frameworks.
  • Project Experience: Demonstrated experience working on NLP or LLM projects, with knowledge of deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow, and familiarity with libraries like Hugging Face Transformers being highly advantageous.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. (French language proficiency is a plus.)
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
