Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated LLM Intern to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with experienced engineers and researchers to develop, implement, and optimize cutting-edge natural language processing (NLP) and large language model solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with real-world projects and contribute directly to the company’s ongoing innovation in the AI domain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Text Data Analysis & Preprocessing: Collect, clean, and organize textual datasets using Python-based data analytics tools.
  • Model Development & Testing: Assist in testing, fine-tuning, and evaluating LLM models, focusing on use-cases relevant to the insurance sector, including text generation, summarization, information extraction, semantic search, and other core NLP tasks.
  • Software Engineering Best Practices: Contribute to project codebases using version control (Git), participate in code reviews, and adhere to best practices to ensure high-quality, maintainable code.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work in an agile environment with senior engineers, data scientists, and cross-functional teams. Communicate findings and technical challenges effectively in English. (Knowledge of French is a plus.)
  • Research & Documentation: Stay updated on trends in large language models, natural language processing, and machine learning. Document your work for internal knowledge sharing, including best practices, research findings, and prototype implementations.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with relevant coursework in machine learning and NLP.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in Python; familiarity with other programming languages is a plus.
    • Hands-on experience with data analytics tools such as Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, and Scikit-learn.
    • Understanding of fundamental concepts in ML & NLP including transformer architectures and language modeling.
    • Basic understanding of version control (Git) and software engineering practices.
  • Project Experience: Experience with NLP or LLM projects through course assignments, personal projects, or research work. Familiarity with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow and libraries like Hugging Face Transformers is advantageous.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in French is a plus.
    • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
