Job Description

We are seeking a proactive individual to help develop and establish Data Management capabilities within IKEA Supply. Our IKEA Logistics Modernization (ILM) initiative goes beyond merely upgrading our technology; it represents a pivotal modernization step opening the door to streamlined business processes and innovative global supply chain operations. The IKEA Transportation Management (ITM) system acts as the backbone of our operations, orchestrating the seamless movement of goods across borders and business units. By migrating to Oracle Transportation Management Cloud, IKEA will leverage the latest features—including advanced analytics, AI-powered optimization, and modern integration capabilities—ensuring we remain leaders in transportation management.

As part of the Data Management team in the Supply Data & Technology department, you will facilitate collaboration across Supply teams on data management, providing both technical and functional leadership. Alongside your peers at Inter IKEA, you will define and implement policies, controls, and programs to ensure data quality, accessibility, and reusability. You'll also drive continuous improvement, collaboration, and knowledge sharing of best practices, methodologies, tools, and materials within the Data Management community.

In this role, your specific responsibilities will include:

  • Taking ownership and executing Data Management (DM) activities and initiatives within IKEA Supply.
  • Representing IKEA Supply in DM-related activities and participating in relevant DM projects or initiatives.
  • Serving as the primary contact to support the adoption and prioritization of Data Management and Enablement capabilities such as Data Modelling, Data Literacy, Data Governance, Business Glossary, Data Catalogue, Data Lineage, and Data Quality.
  • Coordinating and implementing group-wide DM priorities.
  • Providing relevant updates for common reporting and meetings within your area of responsibility.
  • Supporting the development of essential Data Management components, including steering documents, roadmaps, learning solutions, and communication content.
  • Reporting on DM KPIs/OKRs.
  • Leading and collaborating closely with peers across Inter IKEA and IKEA to enhance our franchise offer.
  • Building, leading, and inspiring the community within a defined master data domain, sharing your passion and expertise in data management practices.
  • Embedding data management capabilities and practices into IKEA Supply's workflows, working proactively with product and application teams to foster a robust data culture.
  • Actively contributing to the Inter IKEA Data Management area of expertise, promoting a culture of support, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

You will advocate for the advancement and adoption of data management, ensuring adherence to defined data and information principles.

  • Good knowledge of Data Modelling, Meta & Master Data management, Data Governance, Data Quality, IT in general, and digital organizations, with particular expertise in Oracle Transportation Management.
  • Hands-on experience with Data Modelling and/or Data Literacy is advantageous.
  • Experience in managing data and information within Franchisor and/or global application landscapes in supply chain environments.
  • Exposure to building and managing master data management communities, balancing business needs with IT capabilities.
  • Familiarity with agile practices and entrepreneurial ways of working is beneficial.
  • A passion for home furnishing and the ability to forge engaging and trustful relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • A collaborative spirit and a strong focus on both technology and people, creating impact and inspiration irrespective of functional or reporting lines.
