About the Role
The Data Governance and Sourcing Lead is responsible for the development and ownership of business-aligned data governance guidelines that empower impactful data and analytics-driven use cases across the Global Product Division (GPD). This role serves as a trusted partner to business units, supporting functions, and Local Companies (LOCs), ensuring that data assets are leveraged effectively to drive measurable outcomes. The selected candidate will advocate for the responsible and impactful use of data, aligning efforts with industry best practices and leading initiatives to refine and harmonize data sourcing in line with business priorities.
How the Job Will Contribute
Data Governance Strategy & Execution
- Develop and Align Data Governance Principles: Lead the creation and alignment of governance frameworks and standards within GPD that facilitate insights and analytics, while maintaining global consistency.
- Oversee Implementation: Ensure the adoption of data standards across relevant domains and oversee processes to guarantee adherence to these standards, enabling agility and responsiveness to evolving business needs.
- Co-Create Data Governance: Collaborate with MCE and regional teams to implement above-brand data governance across all GPD LOCs.
- Partner with Medical and Access Functions: Engage with medical and access teams to establish data governance for medical and access insights.
- Work with MDM and Data Architecture Leads: Ensure that capabilities within ICC support sustainable and resource-efficient data governance.
Data Sourcing
- Optimize Data Sourcing: Analyze and enhance data purchasing and sourcing needs to align with business priorities, maximizing impact and reducing operational expenditures.
- Collaborate Closely: Work in partnership with DD&T and LOCs to identify critical data sourcing needs, particularly within the HCP/HCE domain.
- Align Data Sourcing Strategy: Ensure that the data sourcing strategy is thoroughly aligned with organizational goals.
- Co-Develop Initiatives: Foster data literacy and culture initiatives across GPD to enhance capabilities throughout the organization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership
- Support the creation and facilitation of Data Governance Councils.
- Partner with key stakeholders across GPD and Digital Data & Technology to ensure alignment and integration of data governance initiatives.
- Provide strategic guidance on data governance to empower AI and digital tools that enhance the customer experience.
