About the Role
The Data Governance and Sourcing Lead is responsible for the development and ownership of a business-aligned data governance strategy and guidelines that empower impactful data and analytics use cases across the Global Product Division (GPD). This role serves as a trusted partner to business units, supporting functions, and Local Companies (LOCs), ensuring that data assets are effectively leveraged to drive measurable outcomes. The incumbent will advocate for the responsible and impactful use of data, aligned with industry best practices, while leading initiatives to refine and harmonize data sourcing in accordance with business priorities.
How the Job Will Contribute
Data Governance Strategy & Execution
- Develop and Align Data Governance Principles: Lead the creation and alignment of governance frameworks and standards within GPD that facilitate insights and analytics while maintaining global consistency.
- Oversee Implementation: Ensure the effective implementation and adoption of data standards across relevant domains.
- Review Processes: Refine processes to guarantee adherence to data standards, enabling agility and responsiveness to evolving business needs.
- Co-create Governance: Collaborate with MCE and regional teams to implement above-brand data governance across all GPD LOCs.
- Partner with Medical and Access Functions: Engage with medical and access teams on data governance initiatives for insights.
- Collaborate with MDM and Data Architecture Leads: Work to ensure that capabilities exist in ICC to make data governance both sustainable and resource-efficient.
Data Sourcing
- Optimize Data Sourcing: Analyze and refine data purchasing and sourcing needs to align with business priorities, maximizing impact and operational savings.
- Collaborate with Key Functions: Connect with DD&T and LOCs to identify data sourcing needs, particularly in the HCP/HCE domain.
- Align Strategy: Ensure data sourcing needs and strategies are deeply integrated.
- Co-Develop Initiatives: Work on data literacy and data culture initiatives across GPD to enhance organizational capabilities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership
- Support Data Governance Councils: Assist in the creation and facilitation of Data Governance Councils.
- Partner with Key Stakeholders: Collaborate with stakeholders across GPD and Digital Data & Technology to ensure alignment and integration of data governance initiatives.
- Provide Strategic Guidance: Offer strategic direction on leveraging data governance to enhance AI and digital tools for improved customer experiences.
