Overview

As a Microsoft Data Center Project Manager (DCPM), you will be responsible for managing assigned projects to meet service delivery objectives while escalating issues to relevant stakeholders to eliminate obstacles. You will adhere to safety policies and procedures and engage in root cause analysis (RCA) of incidents. This position offers the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of data center operations, collaborate across various teams, and provide mentorship by sharing best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Location: Geneva
  • Coordinate the deployment and decommissioning of Data Center IT Equipment and Infrastructure, utilizing knowledge and experience to ensure team objectives are met.
  • Adhere to safety and security policies and procedures, reporting any safety or security issues immediately.
  • Contribute to troubleshooting service incidents, escalating issues as necessary to maintain service levels with minimal disruption to clients and business operations.
  • Recognize potential customer impacts of other events and issues, communicate those impacts, and plan accordingly.
  • Proactively review schedules to avoid conflicts and manage expectations, providing alternatives when defining customer solutions.
  • Manage relationships with clients and suppliers, ensuring all expectations are clarified, understood, documented, and met.
  • Suggest measures to minimize maintenance risks and collaborate with others to accommodate scheduling needs.
  • In alignment with management priorities, take accountability for service quality, completeness, and overall customer experience, supporting the escalation of issues to the appropriate owner.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, along with industry experience.
  • Industry experience supplemented with relevant college coursework.

Background Check Requirements:

Applicants must meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements. These include specialized security screenings as follows:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position requires successful completion of the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Critical Environment infrastructures (e.g., UPS, Generator, AHU) or working with physical IT infrastructures (e.g., Servers, SANs, Networking, Capacity, DC Rack/Enclosures, structured cabling).
  • Technical College degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Telecommunications, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Notable certifications: ASICS/Inventory Control, CompTIA, Microsoft, Network Certifications, PMP, ITIL, CDCP.
